Cello Electronics have wowed their critics by soaring up through the rankings of The Sunday Times Tech Track 100.
The top 100 list of Britain’s fastest growing private technology companies is compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based company that researches Britain’s top performing private companies.
Highlighting the ‘ones to watch’ in private technology, the Tech Track 100 showcases the exciting ventures that are rising to the top as the country recovers from the economic crisis.
A client of The Marketing Café, Cello Electronics have landed on their feet this year and jumped a massive 57 places from their spot at number 99 last year, to a whopping 42nd place this year.
Cello Electronics have designed and manufactured more than 250,000 LCD television sets last year, and expect to dwarf that figure this year with targets of 300,000 in 2009. Cello televisions are sold to clients like John Lewis and Staples and the company also makes own-brand products for Next and Marks & Spencer.
Led by CEO Brian Palmer, Cello Electronics is developing a television with the ability to stream programmes from BBC iPlayer and ITV player. Sales have grown a massive 65% a year from £7.6m in 2006 to £33.8m in 2009.
Congratulations to Cello!
