Exciting opportunity for multimedia graduate

The Marketing Café is launching a new business, offering video production facilities for commercial use on the web. This means a new role will be created for a multimedia graduate. In addition, there will be significant development of The Marketing Café website to include a range of online sales videos. The Multimedia Designer will work for the new business and will be responsible for the creation of dynamic online videos. This will involve some videography, but mainly video editing and motion graphics.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Primarily to assist with the development of a range videos for The Marketing Café’s own business websites and those of clients
• Utilise motion graphic skills to give the videos a strong professional image under the direction of the Creative Director
• Upload videos using an online video platform such as Brightcove to ensure videos play on all mobile devices as well as desktop computers
• Develop and maintain a YouTube account for The Marketing Café’s video productions
• As a secondary priority there will be some website development duties including HTML emails, flash animation and other ad hoc requirements depending on abilities
• General design work for print if the work load demands it

Key skills:

• Strong interest and education in video, editing and motion graphics
• HTML 4 & 5
• Flash (AS2 and AS3)
• Apple Final Cut or similar software
• Apple Motion or similar software
• Knowledge of traditional design software (Adobe Creative Suite 4)
• Some knowledge of or experience in 3D design applications may be useful
• Good communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and driven; able to act on own initiative
• Solid multi-tasking and organisational skills
